David is
well known on the magic scene, having joined his first magic club at the
age of eleven. During a lifetime of experience, he has a number of
television appearances to his credit and his hands have featured in many
television adverts.
He was one of only five 'close-up' workers chosen to perform for Prince
Charles when he visited the Magic Circle, and has also appeared on an EMI
Home Video cassette. His was the only section to be subsequently used by
British Airways as part of their in-flight entertainment for several
months.
In the past year, David has worked in most of the top London hotels
performing sleight of hand at major functions in his own inimitable style.
David specialises in pre 'dinner party' entertainment, Weddings, Bah
Mitzvahs, as well as table hopping during formal banquets. Magic is now
being used more and more as a professional mixing aid, ie Large companies
employ David to mingle with guests upon arrival and break the ice! In
addition, David is one of very few magicians who perform a table
levitation (by special arrangement). This has been used successfully for
American Airlines, Post Office Counters etc. That particular effect
combined with his close-quarter magic has been used very effectively to
re-enforce key messages such as teamwork, focused objectives, motivation,
management skills etc.
Within The Magic Circle David has edited the Magazine, served on the
Council and has adjudicated on the board of examiners. He is also Press
Officer and Spokesman for The Magic Circle.
